Rescue Me ID: 14-04-14-00204Sasha & Katie (female)

Siamese    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Not Good with Other Cats, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Two Siamese cats - Katie and Sasha - available for adoption. My wife and I love cats, so when a desperate friend asked us if we would consider adopting her two Siamese cats, we agreed. However, several months later, things are not working out between them and our other two cats. We are told Katie and Sasha are pure bred Siamese, they are half sisters, and are approximately 5 years old. Although strictly indoor cats, both have been spayed and are up to date with vaccinations (rabies, distemper, and feline leukemia). They have been together throughout their lives so we strongly prefer they be adopted together. Both are well mannered ... (Read More)and quite sociable towards humans; nary a nip, scratch, or hiss from either of them. Katie is shy, but nevertheless enjoys attention and gentle hugs. She tends to follow what Sasha does. Sasha is out going, affectionate, actively seeks your lap, and loves to be made a fuss over. Both prefer human company to being alone. We really enjoy them and have diligently worked to introduce them to our two tabby cats, but they continue to be actively aggressive towards them. After several dreadful cat fights, we are resigned to a non-workable solution. They live up stairs, the other two downstairs, but no one is happy, least of all us. Two final notes: While they are pure bred Siamese, our friend told us they are not show quality cats - Sasha's frame is too stocky and Katie's canines extend below her lips. Also, it appears they should be the sole cats in the household as they are keenly assertive and territorial towards other cats. (Less)
