Rescue Me ID: 14-12-15-00703Gretel (female)

Siamese Mix    Age: Young Adult

Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Gretel is a 2 year old female Snowshoe Siamese. Gretel has been sent here on a Reconnaissance Mission. Shhhh...don't tell her that we know! Gretel's mission is to watch us and observe. She takes her mission very seriously and does an excellent job. Her only break from this mission is to play with a mouse/wand toy. She knows that is only allowed first thing in the morning, and she is such a good girl, she won't break the rules of her mission. When we play with her mouse on a string, she knows this is the perfect time to stop mid play and lay down for some petting and will purr nicely and let you pet her tummy. Gretel is so good about her ... (Read More)secret mission that she goes back to work after this without complaints. Gretel watches your activity and likes to hide and peek out to observe and complete her mission. She will need understanding owners that while she is working, she does not want to be petted. Gretel can be paired with another cat but the at cat must be non-aggressive and very laid back. She is a fearful girl but makes friends and does well with non-aggressive cats, the real lazy types that don't chase her (lazy cats understand she is working you know!) Gretel will take a little time to warm up, prefers a quiet home and needs to feel SAFE. She is a fantastic quiet and calm girl looking for a family to understand she gets scared easily. Gretel is EXTREMELY afraid of other people and animals. She does fantastic with baby kittens AFTER she has time to learn they won't chase or dominate her If you are interested in adopting Gretel, please go to to our website at http://www.angelofhoperescue.com and scroll down to download our cat adoption application.     The first British Siamese were given to the English ambassador to Siam (Thailand) as a gift. Some Siamese can live to be over 20 years old. The voice of the Siamese has been likened to that of an infant; the sound is called Meezer, which is also a nickname for the Siamese. Siamese are one of the oldest domesticated cat breeds.
