Siamese Rescue Information: Siamese are lean, graceful cats with aristocratic bearing. Siamese are known for being very vocal cats. Siamese also have very communicative facial expressions and body language. Siamese are playful and sociable pets.

Siamese Trivia: The first British Siamese were given to the English ambassador to Siam (Thailand) as a gift. Some Siamese can live to be over 20 years old. The voice of the Siamese has been likened to that of an infant; the sound is called Meezer, which is also a nickname for the Siamese.

Rescue Me ID: 17-04-26-00310Marvin (male)

Siamese    Age: Senior

Compatibility: Good with Most Cats, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Low Energy, Very Submissive
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Marvin is a super sweet senior (12 years old)but surprisingly energetic at times. He runs around the house, up and down the stairs, like a kitten. He even took down a bird that flew in the house a few days ago within a minute! We adopted Marvin from the humane society in Feb 2016. We cannot keep him anymore due to his sensitive stomach. He requires a hydrolyzed protein diet and we have had a hard time keeping him from eating the other cat's food, which makes him sick to his stomach. His vet has done blood work on him and says he has no health problems that they can see and they recommended this special food. The food is too expensive ... (Read More)for us to feed both cats so we feel that it would be better for Marvin to be in a home where he didn't have the temptation to sneak food that isn't good for him. We do not free feed. He is schedule fed 3 times a day in small amounts to keep his stomach from getting upset and that is difficult on us as well. My husband in particular is very upset to see Marvin go. Marvin bonded with him immediately, following him around like a dog would follow his person around. Marvin likes to grab your hand with his paw very gently and guide your hand to his head for pets. He will reach up and lightly stroke your face with his paw for attention as well. If Marvin sounds like the cat for you, please contact us via email for a meeting. (Less)

He has a little house and an umbrella, and more than welcome to return home, but will NOT stay because of our dog. He needs a loving home for his 'golden years' but needs to be able to go outdoors in the sunshine. He has a sweet, but shy disposition and loves to be loved. He is a healthy senior.
